Blush
Name   Bladen Blush
Varietal   Muscadine
Year
Winery Description   A later harvest blend of Muscadine & Scuppernong grapes provide this wine with a full sweet taste and mild, pleasant finish. It's a full flavor Muscadine wine that is excellent as a dessert wine.
Tasting Notes   Lu Mil Vineyard's Bladen Blush is a little to the right on the dry to sweet meter. Not thickly sweet, it has good acidity and a hint of kiwi and watermelon added to the typical muscadine fruity aroma. I think a bit more Jolly Rancher than I do of vine ripened watermelon, but it's a fun flavor.

Muscadine has a slightly bitter finish that stays with me in most offerings, but here the fruity sweetness is prevalent. I get a slightly bitter taste down the center of my tongue and light fruit along the sides for a pleasant finish.

A blush, the wine floats between pink and red. It is a great party wine, with it's color and fruitiness adding to the festivity of the occasion.
Food Pairing   I'd suggest traditional sweet and sour like Chinese and Japanese Teriyaki or salty snacks at your New Year's party.
